Terms and Conditions

Payments Methods

All payments must be made in full before any shipments will be scheduled. Payments must be cleared two weeks before picking up at a reptile show. All payments must be in U.S. dollars. Methods of payment include using a credit card or PayPal on the website, U.S. postal money orders, or over the phone.


Shipping

  • All shipping orders are done through FedEx using Ship Your Reptiles.
  • Shipping rates are $59.00. You may order one or more animal(s) but will only be charged one shipping fee if more than one animal(s) is ordered simultaneously. Orders of over $1,000 are not charged for shipping.
  • FedEx shipping will be on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday—there will be no Shipping on Thursday, Friday, or weekends.
  • Notification will be sent out for shipping dates (weather permitting) to inform you that the shipping window is open. You may reply to that notification by email, Facebook, or Instagram.
  • It is preferred that you send the gecko to a FedEx hub near you. You must provide the correct address for that hub.
  • If animal(s) are being sent to your home directly, stipulations are put in place if the animal(s) arrive in a non-living condition.
  • See the Live Arrival Guaranteed section.
  • Temperatures must be between 40 and 80 Degrees Fahrenheit. There will be no shipping if temperatures exceed 80 or go below 40. This temperature requirement applies to both sending and receiving. You must check your temperature to ensure proper requirements. We will only send geckos with the completed form and a shipping date.
  • There is no international shipping at this time.

Live Arrival Guaranteed

The arrival of live animal(s) is guaranteed if the following three conditions have been met. *Someone must be there to collect the animal(s).*


1. You provide the email address for the nearest Fed-Ex hub.

  • You must provide the address; we cannot establish the shipping location.
  • If you decide not to send it to a Fed-Ex hub, someone at your provided address must be there to receive the animal(s) on the first delivery attempt.
  • Place of employment.

2. Temperatures are critical, and it is our discretion whether the animal(s) will be sent. If we have concerns about the weather, we may decide not to send your order for safety reasons.

  • Safe temperatures are considered to be between 40 degrees Fahrenheit (not below 40 overnight) and 80 degrees Fahrenheit (not above 80 Degrees) for the entire shipment.
  • Heating and Cooling packs will be provided at no charge for the safety of the animal(s).
  • We will check the temperatures in our area, but you are responsible for checking the temperatures in your area. Please check the forecasted weather conditions for the day and time you request delivery of your new animal(s). If the weather is not safe for shipping, we will gladly hold your new animal(s) until the weather is safe to ship.

3. You must provide the correct shipping address.

  • You will only receive your gecko(s) if the address is correct.
  • We will send it to the address you provide. If your address is incorrect, the shipment may be delayed, and the live arrival guarantee will be null and void.
  • If you want your gecko(s) shipped to a different address other than the shipping address provided on your invoice, it is your responsibility to make sure it is clearly stated when you schedule your shipment.

Gecko Tails

The natural defense of a crested gecko is to drop its tail when it feels it is in danger. A gecko can drop its tail at any time for any reason. While it doesn't happen often, it can occur during shipping. As a result, we do not offer a guarantee on the gecko's tail during shipment.


DOA (Dead On Arrival)

  • If your gecko (s) have perished during shipment, you must contact Sweet Lady Adventures within one hour of delivery.
  • You may do so by phone or email within one hour of delivery. A photograph as proof is necessary and must be sent with your message. There are no exceptions.
  • At our discretion, we may require that the animal be returned to Sweet Lady Adventures at your expense. Once we have investigated the gecko, we may offer a comparable replacement or store credit should the animal's death be related to circumstances due to transit.

Gecko Colors

  • The listed geckos are taken with the best camera and lighting possible. The pictures will not be enhanced or altered. The color and geckos are never changed or altered in any way. We do not offer any guarantees on the color of a gecko.
  • A gecko changes in its color throughout their life.
  • A person's home computer can also have color settings that affect how a picture is viewed. The gecko you see in our listings is the gecko you receive if you order it.

Sexing Policy

  • Our geckos are listed with the sex of the animal. In the rare event that the gecko develops and its sex is discovered not to be the sex it was listed, we will require that the healthy animal be sent back to Sweet Lady Adventures at your expense. The gecko must be returned following the shipping section guidelines. We will then look at the gecko and determine if a comparable gecko replacement can be made or if store credit will be issued. This decision will be at our discretion.
  • It is the policy of Sweet Lady Adventures that a gecko being offered for sale will be listed as:
  • Male
  • Female
  • Unsexed
  • An unsexed gecko is not at a weight that will determine sex.

We do not check pores and will not sell a gecko as male, or female based on the observation of pores.


Payment Plans

  • Payment plans can be offered.
  • If agreed upon, we will create a payment plan. A "Terms and Conditions" agreement will be discussed.
  • If a payment plan has been agreed upon, a deposit must be made to hold the gecko(s).
  • A minimum down payment of 25% must be made.
  • Downpayments are non-refundable. Please make sure you understand the terms and conditions of the payment plan.
  • The downpayment is non-refundable if a full payment is not made based on the agreement.
  • The buyer is responsible for making payments according to the agreement and on time. We will not send reminders, invoices, or bills.

All Sales are final.

  • Once a gecko has been ordered, the sale is final. Make sure you buy the animal you desire. We only refund money and give store credit. We may do exchanges if the need follows the above guidelines.
  • Priority is given to animals who are paid in full. This will take president over animals being considered for a payment plan if no deposit has been made.
  • No animals will be reserved without payment or an agreement for payment.

Local Pickup

A personal request can arrange local pickups, but it is not guaranteed. Don't hesitate to contact us by email, Facebook, or Instagram to see if arrangements can be made.


Abandoned Orders

We require a shipment to be made within 50 days of purchase. We will gladly keep the gecko(s) ordered for several reasons. Examples might include:

  • Shipping is not available.
  • Weather conditions.
  • If you are considering adding more geckos to an order.
  • If a transaction for a gecko has been made but has been at our facility for more than six months without contact from the buyer, arrangements to ship the gecko will be considered abandoned.
  • We will make arrangements for extended stays due to weather conditions.
  • The gecko will then be returned to stock and put up for sale.
  • No store credit or cash will be allowed. The gecko is considered abandoned and becomes the property of Sweet Lady Adventures LLC.
